How do I enable USB Debugging on my Android device? ▼
To use GlideCast over USB:
  1. Open Settings ➔ About Phone on your Android device.
  2. Tap Build Number 7 times until you see "You are now a developer!".
  3. Go back to Settings ➔ System ➔ Developer Options.
  4. Enable USB Debugging.
  5. Connect your device to your PC via USB cable and accept the "Allow USB Debugging" prompt on your phone screen.
What if I am testing GlideCast in a Virtual Machine (VM)? ▼
If testing inside a virtual machine (VMware, VirtualBox, Hyper-V) or without a physical Android phone connected:
1. Select "Demo Simulation (virtual)" from the device selection dropdown menu in GlideCast.
2. Click "START MIRRORING" to launch the interactive simulation mode for testing mouse and keyboard capture.
Why does GlideCast require full trust capabilities on Windows? ▼
GlideCast is a packaged Win32 application that requires the runFullTrust capability to execute the pre-packaged Android Debug Bridge (adb.exe) binary locally, route audio streams, and bind single-instance network locks. All operations run 100% locally on your machine.

QuickCut MP4 Support & FAQs

How does sub-second Lossless Video Cut work? ▼
When you cut video using QuickCut MP4's default mode, the application invokes FFmpeg using stream copy parameters (-c copy). Instead of re-encoding every video frame (which takes minutes and degrades quality), it copies the compressed video keyframes directly into the output file container in under a second with 0% quality loss.
What video formats can I convert or cut? ▼
QuickCut MP4 supports MP4, MKV, MOV, AVI, and WebM input files. You can output files directly as MP4, MKV, MOV, 2-Pass Palettegen Animated GIFs, or extract high-quality 192kbps MP3 audio files.
